Ergonomics
Regulation of workplace environment does not
end with handling of hazardous materials.
Although the intended change in the ergonomic
guidelines has not been implemented at the
present time, a number of important ergonomics
regulation are presently in force. Furthermore,
the American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) is presently working on new ergonomics
guidelines that likely to be presented to
the regulatory agencies. These guidelines
have the potential to reshape the organization
of the modern workplace environment.
