Emergency Response
Emergencies are part of life. While all possible efforts are made to prevent an
emergency, they do occur. Handling of emergencies that involve radioactive materials
is part of what we do.
The likelihood of an emergency should be kept in mind. Therefore, our services
include oversight of the Emergency Response, such as:
- Emergency response compliance review
- Emergency planning
- Emergency response training
- Emergency drill
- Reporting requirements
We prepare for an emergency by working to assure that all necessary knowledge and
equipment are available for an appropriate response, including:
- Appropriate personnel protective equipment
- Complete spill kit
- Appropriate tools and signage
When an emergency does occur, PHP personnel can participate directly in
containment and remediation actions if the client's facility is located in our
geographic area of immediate coverage. We provide dose assessments and prepare the
necessary documentation.
If your facility is outside of our immediate area of coverage,
we are still able to assist in most circumstances.
And should the need arise, we will recommend
outside contractors to supplement our capabilities.
